Travelling on to Cairns
If you are leaving the symposium on Friday (31 August) to travel to Cairns you have 2 options.
1. Qantas has 2 daily flights that go to Cairns via Mackay and Townsville (2 short stops) leaving Rockhampton at:
8.40 am QF2300; arrives Cairns at 11.00 am
16.00 QF 2314; arrives at 19.25. www.qantas.com.au (http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/dyn/home/qualifier-region-au)
2. Second option is to return to Brisbane and then direct to Cairns. Eg. Fly Qantas at 16.10 to Brisbane (QF2307) and then back to Cairns QF 786, arrives 21.50. Similar options are possible with VirginBlue. www.virginblue.com.au (http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/dyn/home/qualifier-region-au)
Alternatively, on Saturday there is a flight with Qantas at 11.10 am. QF2308 - 2 stops and arrives about 14.00. Again you could fly direct to Brisbane and then direct to Cairns (with either airline). However this option takes more time.
